LEAPS AND BOUNDS

Summer weather has arrived! And with it, new friendships and responsibilities here in Clarkston.

Meet our new friends from Nepal and their precious baby girl, who has a feeding tube and will need several surgeries. Caleb was immediately interested in his new friend -- although I was nervous he would yank out her feeding tube! His little hands are always getting him into trouble! Please pray for this sweet family.

We often run into this young lady on our evening walks and she asks to push "her" stroller. We are still working to convince her that Caleb is, indeed, a boy!

Now that the kids are out of school for the summer, the complex is overrun by kids. Here are a few of our of young friends:

Caleb is growing my leaps and bounds! At his last appointment on May 12th, he weighed 20 pounds, 11 ounces. He has six teeth, and he started army crawling in April! In the last few weeks he learned how to:

•Pull into a standing position
•"Cruise" along the furniture
•Walk when holding our hands
•Get from his stomach to a sitting position
•Wave"bye-bye"

Caleb currently LOVES...

Swinging at Milam Park!

Turning the pages of his books and NOT letting momma help!

Sleeping like a champ!

Summertime walks around Clarkston

Driving our (parked) car (with daddy) while momma takes too long inside the craft store!

Caleb currently HATES...

Wearing swim googles! And apparently, all things BEACH related. I think he's scared of the sound the waves make when crashing on the sand :\ But he did enjoy celebrating his great-grandma's 80th birthday!!

Caleb met his great aunt Lynne and my cousin, Beth, for the first time this past weekend when they came down for Rachel's graduation. Hopefully we can share pictures from Rachel's ceremony soon!

Ben and my brother Andrew recently went camping at Chattahoochee Ben's State Park for some outdoor "man" time. Andrew finally has a brother!

Ben and I are heading to St. Augustine with our small group this weekend for a (baby-free!) beach trip. Caleb gets to hang out with the Dallands for a few days :) Between Rachel's graduation pictures, our beach trip, and a joint family vacation to the mountains in New York with both sides of our family we should have lots to share next month!
